Children often bear the burden of poverty in the remote areas outside of Repalle. Although very sad, it is not uncommon for a family to abandon their children to the streets.
These young boys and girls beg for food or money and live in terrible conditions. Even worse, they can be taken advantage of by adults looking to profit from their misfortune. They can be sold into slavery or prostitution.
Currently IREF cares for over 1,000 children in our homes, but there are many more that need help. We support these children through sponsorships from individuals world-wide.
